Throughout the year Curaçao Cares organizes several community events to spark awareness and engagement amongst individuals, groups of friends, organisations and corporate teams, but also to recognize and the invaluable contribution of active citizens.
Curaçao Cares and Het OranjeFonds are proud to organize CURA DOET, the largest national volunteer initiative in Curaçao. Annually, more than 3000 people from all walks of life sign up to volunteer to lend a helping hand to hundreds of organizations on the island. CURA DOET takes place every year in March at the same time as NLdoet (The Netherlands), BON DOET (Bonaire), ARUBA DOET (Aruba) STATIA DOET (Sint Eustatius) and SXM DOET (Sint Maarten).SEE MORE
Soon there will be a new and exciting event that lifts the team spirit and brings the Curaçao business community together, providing an opportunity for networking while having fun and raising money to support Curaçao Cares and funds for local charities. The event will consist of team-based physical and mental challenges that are geared toward promoting team building and employee engagement.SEE MORE
The Curaçao Clean Up is an initiative of several companies and foundations that want to make a positive impact on the environment of Curaçao. The largest Clean Up effort of the island takes place on the 3rd Saturday of September during the official Clean Up month. Curaçao Cares is one of the organizing partners and coordinates volunteers, team coordinators and runners for all (40+) locations.SEE MORE
International Volunteer Day is celebrated annually on December 5th. This day was established by the United Nations to show volunteers worldwide respect and recognition for the crucial role they play within the community. In connection with International Volunteer Day, Curaçao Cares puts 'Star Volunteers' and the organizations who engage them in the spotlight. The goal is to raise awareness of volunteering and to inspire more people to volunteer.SEE MORE
